Cooking

Ahhh cooking is something new to most of the students here, since one my favorite thing to eat are salads i am doing fine because it's easy to make a salad. Since everything that we try to cook is new for us we tend to make combinations without really knowing the outcome that is the way it will taste in the end. Couple of days ago we tried to cook something that in Mexico is called Burrito, it's suppose to be good, well the taste of it was nice but it might have been prepared a little bit different with the way that we cooked it compared with the way they prepare it in Mexico, good thing is that we liked it. By they way i didn't cook it, my friend Hamit took care of that masterpiece in kitchen terms.

Sleeping

I guess the library doesn't have to be to nice for people to study there, well the library here is very good, I feel very comfortable there. Well i was tired that day and somehow i fell asleep, ahhahahah and a friend of mine thought that it's a good idea to take a picture of me sleeping in the library, so later on they will be able to prove that i wasn't enough dedicated to my studies! Anyway I spend most of the awake there, not sleeping hahahah.......

Visit to Morecambe

couple days ago we visited Morecambe which a city that is not not that far away (4.4 miles south Lancaster) from Lancaster, the town that is am staying. It was nice since we are still learning the places and trying to find out more about the surroundings. Morecambe is a small city but it has a nice view to the ocean, I enjoyed being there for couple of hours.

Life in Lancaster

I was just looking outside from the window, and the first thing that meets your eyes here are endless clouds. Everything else seems to be alright. This week we started with classes, our first class was Introduction to Mathematics, both teachers were nice, but lectures were too short, and most of the time we just typed equations for the computer to solve them, which was nice to learn how Maple 11 works but there was not enough explanation's. The British teacher easy to understand but he didn't really say anything interesting and the Russian teacher was hard to understand. Anyway first week wasn't that bad, we had some sunny days, people from Lancaster told as to enjoy these sunny days because it doesn't happen very ofter to have sunny days here. I am staying at the Graduate Collage which inside the campus of Lancaster University. The city is small and very classic but beautiful in it's own way, a lot of green grass, good infrastructure, old but very preserved buildings. The place where we are staying is very good, there is not that much noise (just sometimes), we are seven in one hallway, we have separate rooms and we are shearing the kitchen. Next door is Hamit he is studying statistics as well, and it's good to have someone close that you can study together, he is Albanian, very good guy and i am glad he is here, there are other Albanians( students from Kosova) in the same building but they are staying in different floors. we haven't been able to book a place all together, because we came here a bit late and most of the rooms were already taken. Yesterday we went to play football, it was fun, it's been a long time since i have played but i enjoyed it very much, and i hope that we will be doing it more often because it was really great, we won by the way ahahahha. We can make a really good football team, some guys are very good, specially Burim he is a great player( he played professional football in Kosova, and maybe he will play for any football team here) i don't know yet but we should call the team Kosova or something like that ( sorry for not being very creative). It's 11 o'clock and it loos like everyone is sleeping, we don't have classes today, so we should spend most of the day studying, and maybe will go to the city to buy some things because in the city things are cheaper. Well that's all i can thing for now!

Shkup- Macedonia

And yeah, one day out of the clue, a moments comes when you decide to do something that you haven't planed to happen but it just happens! So today i visited Macedonia, i went there to take TOEFL Test, the fact is that i may not need it at all but it was too late to change my mind because i had already payed so i decided to take the test and walk to town of Shkup(Skopje), and see what up there. I woke up really early because i wanted to be on time. We had to be at NOVA Internationl School at 8:30 in the morning. So me togather with Liridon went to the bus station to take the 5:30 bus, but as usually something has to happen here in this town that it seems to find it hard for enything to work out as it should, the bus driver had somekind of diagreement with bus station officials so there was no bus untill 6:00, that was not so bad, we were still hopimg to get there in time> Anyway after a 2 hour trip to Shkup, we were in the middle of the town not having an idea where that school is, we started walking towards the center and we found an Albanian taxi driver, he said that he is not sure where the school is, but since we didn't have no other option and didn't have much time we decided to go with him, i really found it hard to believe that a taxi driver doesn't keep a map with him, because we had the exact address. Well after asking many people and driving through town finally a Macedonian lady gave us directions and we found the school ,and yeah we were there in time. Ok we thought that since we are in Macedonia and in an American school, everything will go as scheduled but i didn't, we had to wait for a long time until the test began.
Ok here i was standing before thew computer 'ready' for the 4 hour long test, and i prepared for it only for one week( we took some classes from an English teacher, and it was very helpful). I was really tired, and the TOEFL Test is very intense, it keeps you under a lot of pressure, because you really need to manage your ti9me well to do well on that test. Anyway after four long hours the test was over, and me Liridon, Valmira ( a college) and Alexandra ( a Macedonian girl that we met there, she was taking TOEFL test too). We decided to walk to Mc Donald's to eat lunch, Alexandra was showing us the way to there, of course we walked down talking how the test went, until Valmira said 'please stop talking about it' hhahahaha. It wasn't impressing, food was ok, but really i couldn't even taste it because the food went down to stomach without tasting it at all, that's because i was very hungry hehehe. I must say that Alexandra was right that we should of tried some traditional food insted of going to Mc Donald's. Ok girls decided to go on their way and me and Liridon started walking in straight not really having a destination, for a moment we thought that we can find the bus station on our self, we asked many people but since we didn't speak Macedonian, only a bit of Serbian language, no one really wanted to give us directions, well an old man tried but he was way out of course, so we decided to take a taxi, we went to bus station really fast, bought tickets. At 15:30 we started our journey to come. Liridon is a very nice guy, we had such a good time talking, making jokes, but there was one thing that was very disturbing about the bus, that was the music( very bad music). In the and i have only one more thing to say, definitely ' THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME' so glad to be back in Prishtina! Yeah!
